Wild Child: A Journey Through Nature

Dara McAnulty - winner of the 2020 Wainwright Prize for Diary of a Young Naturalist - takes young readers on a multi-sensory journey. In five sections - covering looking out of the window, venturing into the garden, walking in the woods, investigating heathland and wandering on the river-bank - Dara describes the native birds, animals and plants found in each habitat; takes a close look at natural phenomenon; and includes an activity such as planting wild flowers, making a bird feeder, pond dipping, making a journey stick and building a terrarium.
